WASA CAMP

(Campers born 2011-2018)

WASA Sports camps provide a fun, safe and enjoyable learning environment for all of our campers. By combining sport specific instruction along with team building activities, WASA’s camp curriculum is designed to encourage all players to discover a passion for play and knowing the importance of having a role on a team. Both low and high intensity training will occur daily, along with adequate rest periods for each age level.

Week #1: June 17-June 21

Week #2: June 24-June 28

Week #3: July 1-3 (No camp July 4th & 5th)

Week #4: July 8-July 12

Week #5: July 15-July 19

Week #6: July 22-July 26

LOCATION:

Pinecrest Preparatory Academy (14301 sw. 42 st.)

ALL WASA Sports Camps are OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

SUMMER CAMP HOURS: 8:00am- 3:30pm

AFTERCARE HOURS: 3:30pm-4:30pm ($25 fee per week)

CAMP REGISTRATION DEADLINE: June 10, 2024 (No registrations will be allowed after this date.)

WAITING LIST: Please register for the Waiting List if your child's group is full. As soon as a spot opens up we will send an email to register.

SPORTS:

• WASA BASKETBALL by USA Basketball certified coaches
• WASA FLAG FOOTBALL by WASA Flag Football Club
• WASA SOCCER by WASA Soccer Club
• WASA TENNIS certified through USTA Florida - Net Generation

LUNCH:

• Lunch will be provided for a fee of $30/week or $7.50 Daily. ($25 for Week #3) 
• Regular lunch orders are DUE every Friday for the following week. 
• Payments MUST be made in person at camp. 
• REGULAR LUNCH WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE THE WEEK/DAY OF (CHICKEN PATTY OPTION ONLY $7.50)

CAMPER DROP OFF: 

• Drop off begins at 8:00AM.
• All kids MUST be dropped off via Car Line. 
• After 9:00am, parents MUST get down and drop off their child in the Media Center.
  

CAMPER PICK UP: 

Pick Up will be done via Car Line from 3:00-3:30pm. 

Each student will receive 2 Dismissal car decals. For safety reasons, students will not be released to vehicles without the decal. Please make sure to have your Child’s Dismissal Decal displayed on your Car Windshield.

AFTERCARE PICK UP: Aftercare will take place in the Gym. Parents MUST get down from their cars and pick their child up. Please make sure to have your Child’s Dismissal Decal with you when picking up.

CAMP CALENDAR & SCHEDULE: Calendar, Daily schedule, Camp Messages/Updates will be posted on your PlayMetrics account. Please make sure you have the PlayMetrics App downloaded on your phone for quick access to your child’s PlayMetrics account.

CAMP ATTIRE: Campers MUST wear WASA Camp shirt (or any previous WASA Shirt), shorts and sneakers (No open-toed shoes/sandals/crocs). All campers receive 2 free camp shirts. Extra shirts available for purchase.

*Campers born 2018 must bring change of clothes in bag

OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES: Campers will participate in their assigned sports. Skills & Drills will teach campers the techniques necessary to successfully compete in Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, and Flag Football. Standards of Play are enforced with age-appropriate equipment, rules, and fields.

INDOOR ACTIVITIES: Campers will participate in Summer Bridge (Educational), Arts & Crafts, Board Games, Movies, and more. 

DAILY ACTIVITIES: Basketball, Flag Football, Soccer, Volleyball; Summer Bridge (Educational), Arts & Crafts, Team Building Activities (Color Wars, Amazing Race, etc.), and more!

SUMMER BRIDGE WORKSHEETS: All Campers MUST bring Summer Bridge worksheets to camp. Please find Summer Bridge worksheets under Club Resources Tab on your PlayMetrics Account. 

TEAM BUILDING/ CRITICAL THINKING: Campers will participate in a variety of team building, and competitive events such as Camp Olympics, Color Wars, The Amazing Race, Spelling Bees, Escape Room, etc. The intention of these challenges is to teach kids the importance of having a role on a team, having teammates depend on you, as well as the lessons that come with winning and losing.

SNACKS/LUNCH: Lunch will be provided by a Catering Service for a fee. Lunch schedules can be found on your PlayMetrics account under Club Resources. Campers may bring lunch/snacks from home. Snacks may be purchased for $1 at camp (Cash ONLY).

KONA SHAVED ICE: KONA Shaved Ice Truck will be at Camp once a week. Please make sure your child brings cash ($4-$7) in a ziploc bag labeled with their name.

WATER DAYS: Please have kids come dressed with their sneakers and bathing suits under their camp clothes. Bring change of clothes and towel in a bag labeled with their name.

WHAT TO BRING TO CAMP: 

• WASA Camp Shirt, shorts and sneakers (Change of clothes for 2018-2017)
• Refillable Water Bottle (Labeled with your child’s name)
• Summer Bridge Worksheets
• Lunch (If being brought from home, labeled with your child’s name)
• Sunscreen
• POSITIVE Attitude

WHAT NOT TO BRING TO CAMP:

• Jeans
• Open-toed shoes/flip flops/crocs
• Revealing clothes and or any clothing deemed as offensive or with offensive logos
• Weapons, Drugs, Alcohol
• NEGATIVE Attitude

REFUNDS:

ALL 2024 WASA Camp Registrations are NON-REFUNDABLE! NO REFUNDS due to missed days, mis-registered weeks, failure to adhere to camp policies, natural disasters, and/or facility closures.
